An alarm was raised on Tuesday afternoon in Chania, specifically in the Agia Irini gorge, as a French hiker was seriously injured in the leg.
According to information, the man, aged approximately 55-60, was reportedly with a group of four or five people at the time.
Firefighters rushed to the scene with 12 firefighters and 5 vehicles, while volunteers also contributed to the rescue.
