The event will take place on Wednesday, July 1, at the iconic Fortezza Fortress.
The Winemakers Network of Crete (Wines of Crete), the Municipality of Rethymno & the Region of Crete, are organizing for the fifth consecutive year the Cretan wine exhibition Wines@Fortezza 2026, which will take place on Wednesday, July 1, at the emblematic Fortress of Fortezza in Rethymno.
From 8 to 11.30 pm, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the wealth and dynamics of the modern Cretan Vineyard, tasting more than 150 labels of branded bottled Cretan wine from wineries that are members of the Crete Winemakers Network.
The event is aimed at both wine lovers and industry professionals, offering a unique tasting experience and getting to know the winemakers themselves.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover native varieties of Crete, as well as international varieties cultivated on the island.

Wines@Fortezza is now an established institution for Rethymno and Crete, highlighting the uniqueness of the Cretan vineyard, the work of the island’s winemakers and the connection of wine with the culture, gastronomy and tourism of Crete.
The exhibition is co-organized by the Municipality of Rethymno, the Region of Crete and the support of the Agri-Food Partnership.
