Miltos Tentoglou impressively confirmed his superiority in the long jump, winning the gold medal at the Balkan Open Athletics Championships held at the Panthessalian Stadium, with a jump of 8.36 meters, which is a new event record.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist landed at 8.36 m. on his first attempt with a headwind of -0.3 m./s., turning the rest of the match into… a walk.
This performance proved to be enough for first place, as none of the other athletes managed to come close to the Greek champion’s jump.
The silver medal was won by Serbian Luka Boskovic, who set a personal record with 8.19 m in his last attempt, while the bronze medal went to Bulgarian Bozidar Saraboyukov with 8.04 m.
