An 8.4% increase was recorded in February this year in the number of visitors to the country’s museums, as well as 16.3% in free-entry visitors and 56.8% in collections.

In the first two months, there was a 5.8% increase in museum visitors, a 10.6% increase in free-admission visitors and a 59.1% increase in receipts.

Also according to ELSTAT, archaeological sites in February 2026 recorded an increase in visitors by 1.3%, in free-entry visitors by 13.1% and in receipts by 140.6%.

In the first two months, there was a 3.9% decrease in visitors, a 14.8% increase in free-entry visitors and a 124% increase in receipts.
