Algeria and Austria drew 3-3 in Kansas City, in a match for the 3rd and final matchday of the 10th group of the World Cup. Thanks to this draw, the two teams reached four points in the group, as a result of which they both got a “ticket” to the “32” of the World Cup. There, Algeria will face Switzerland in Vancouver (3/7, 06:00), while Austria will face Spain in Los Angeles (2/7, 22:00).
Austria “opened” the score in the 28th minute with Arnautovic, only for Belgali to equalize in the 45th minute. The Europeans scored a second goal with Sabitzer in the 55th minute, but Mahrez equalized for Algeria in the 60th minute. The finale of the match was… not suitable for the faint of heart, as Algeria took a 3-2 lead in the third minute of injury time with Mahrez’s second goal, however Austria did not give up and “found” the equalizer (3-3) in the sixth minute of injury time with Kaladzic, as a result of which both teams qualified for the “32” of the World Cup.
