US State Dept. welcomes Greece-Turkey dialogue

The US State Department expressed its continued support for a dialogue between Greece and Turkey, in a statement on Friday that followed up on the visit of Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias to Ankara on Thursday. “The US continues to welcome dialogue between Greece and Turkey, and the commitment of both governments to diplomatic engagement. We support all efforts to reduce tensions in the Eastern Mediterranean,” said the US State Dept. spokesperson.
