Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomed the European Commission’s decision to move forward with the adoption of a digital vaccination certificate, in a post on social media on Wednesday.
On Twitter, the Greek premier wrote in English: “Europe is moving forward with our proposal. The introduction of a Digital Green Certificate is on track for implementation. This is a decision that will significantly facilitate the movement of citizens and will help boost tourism and the economies that rely heavily on it.”
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen had said in a tweet earlier that the digital vaccination certificates will pave “a common path to a gradual, safe and lasting re-opening.”
