Ukraine: The battles on the eastern front will decide the fate of the country.
Earlier today, the leadership of the Moscow-backed self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic” announced via Telegram that its forces had occupied Svitlodarsk and replaced the Ukrainian with the Russian flag. Svitlodarsk is located 80 kilometers southwest of Sheverodonetsk, which has been a key target of Russian military operations in recent days. “The situation on the eastern front is extremely difficult, because the fate of our country may be being judged there at the moment,” said Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Motuzyanik.
